Twenty-Six Weeks and Counting

Wow, we have just finished 26 weeks! So many changes and yet so far from the goal!! We have learned it takes one step at a time to be able to reach the goal that we have so far.

Another thing I have had to get used to, is that people notice Michael’s weight change immediately, but they don’t really notice mine at this time. Hopefully, soon they will, but I’m just thankful that it has helped me physically as much as it has.

This week, the article about our 1st annual dinner with our program was put into the paper. Here is the link to the article https://www.westplainsdailyquill.net/features/health_fitness/article_62c69ec8-77b9-11e7-b016-031d7f7075d0.html

I love my family! They are the reason I press onward.

I realize it has been awhile since I’ve posted. I’m sure some of you thought we must have given up. NO! WE HAVEN’T! Again, this isn’t a weight loss program it is a life changing program. We started this program due to my health breaking and one of the side benefits is we have lost weight. This past month the stress has been great and we have had to lean hard on the Lord to get us through each day.  There were times that I started to throw my hands up and say, “I give up!” However, the Lord would remind me of the whole reason we started this program. We started this program due to my health breaking and I wanted to see my children grow up and enjoy them as adults, I did it for my family.

If it was just losing weight, I would have given up, but since I did it to be with my family and get to enjoy them longer, I knew I had to keep pressing on.

One of my verses has been and still is, Philippians 3:14,I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” I have a goal and I am determined to make it. I may take 3-4 times longer than some, but I will make it, with the Lord’s help! Some may think it crazy to claim this verse for this goal, but without pressing toward this goal, I don’t think I can fully do the goal that Christ has for me at this point in my life.

So, no matter how stressful you life is, grab on and keep pressing forward. If you don’t have it in you to keep going for yourself, find another reason, like I have with my family. The devil is going to try to stump you but Philippians 4:13, says, “ I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

So, again, we are taking things, one step at a time.
