Wow, where does time fly to? Today begins our 4th week on this new journey! Has it been worth it, YES! Besides, seeing some pounds already coming off, my blood pressure is starting to stay leveled out. Thank the Lord!! This was one of the reasons we started the program and thankfully I didn’t have to go on any medications before starting because we got started immediately.
I had gotten burnt out of veggies and depressed what to fix and with the help of a friend who is also on
the same journey we were able to get back up and going. Then Dr. Abram’s returned from vacation and gave more encouragement.
We have eaten some of the same foods that we did last week but we have also tried some new ones. This week I also prepped some of the foods before hand so they didn’t take long to mix together and finish up.
One of our favorite new foods is apple muffins. We don’t get to eat bread but thi
s is awesome!!! Easy to eat at breakfast time for our fruit and even some protein.
Another new food is quiche muffins. This makes it where we can get protein and veggies at the same time.
Dr. Abram’s suggested me to rice cauliflower
and make some different things with it. So, I did and we love it!! I made veggie stir fry. So easy to make and filling.
Saturday I made deer burgers, thanks to a cousin of mine giving us some meat. We wrapped the meat in a leaf of lettuce with tomato on top and topping it with salsa.
I have been fixing fried apples every evening until I ran across a blueberry crisp that sounded good, it was super! Easy to prepare and so good. Now we will have a different dessert before turning in for the day.
The thing we have noticed is as long as we follow the plan we continue to move forward. So, we continue to take the drops, drink…drink…drink…, eat veggies and fruit and a small bit of protein.
